Multi-Function Counter Offers Six Operating Modes

The H7BX multi-function counter from Omron delivers simple preset and batch-counting functions as well as advanced dual counter and tachometer functions. It fits standard DIN cutouts with a front panel measuring 72 × 72 mm and a mounting depth of 100 mm. The large, six-digit, highly-visible backlit LCD display can be set to change color (red or green) when operating status changes, thus enabling operators to check output status from a distance.

The large, six-digit, highly-visible backlit LCD display can be set to change color (red or green) when operating status changes, thus enabling operators to check output status from a distance. User settings are simplified with a key for each digit on the IP54-rated front panel. Basic function setup is enabled via internal DIP switches, and unauthorized setting changes are discouraged due to five-level key access protection with a panel indicator.

The counter provides a total and preset counter, a batch counter, a dual counter and a tachometer. It accepts a range of inputs—NPN/PNP (multi-inputs) and two-wire DC sensors—for increment, decrement, command, individual and quadrature operation modes. All models provide both contact output rated 3A at 250 VDC and NPN transistor output rated at 100 mA max. at 30 VDC. The main display PV height is 13.5 mm and SV height is 9.5 mm. The display can be programmed to change when a specific value is reached. The set value range can be selected as -99999 to 999999 or 0 to 99999.

Flexible Gage Software Integrates with CNC Machine Tools

EMO 2017: Renishaw will exhibit its software for the Equator flexible gauge, which allows users to fully integrate the system with CNC machine tools, its contact scanning system for CNC machine tools, its on-machine and mobile apps which are designed to simplify the use of machine tool probing, an enhanced non-contact tool setter for machining centers, a multi-probe optical interface system, a surface finish probe for coordinate measuring machines, and software that enhances the functionality of Renishaw’s XM-60 multi-axis calibration system.
