While traditional 3D printing has been limited to single-material capabilities, the Objet260 Connex from Objet Ltd. can simultaneously print two materials, enabling designers and engineers to combine rigid and flexible materials to simulate the form, fit, feel and function of real-life products.

The printer comes with a range of more than 60 different build materials with varying mechanical properties, textures and shades simulating virtually anything from rubber to transparency to rigid engineering plastics. It can build as many as 14 different materials into a single printed part.
