CNC Indexing and Feeding Technologies offers MTA brand short bar loaders in both pneumatic and servo styles. Both styles are said to be well-suited for adding unmanned production capability to a lathe. The company’s Tracer LED lights are designed to support easy visual monitoring of the production process while away from the lathe and bar loader.
The pneumatic models, the 4-foot V-65E and 5-foot V-65LE, load spindle-length barstock into the lathe and feed to a turret stop. The loaders are capable of loading bar diameters ranging from 5 to 66 mm (0.196" to 2.598") and can be used for small to large production runs.
The servo-style bar loader can feed to higher accuracies or used on lathes with a subspindle.
The short bar loaders include a pusher cylinder with linear guides, pusher locks, V-channel adjustments, an X-axis sliding rail system, a fully functional PLC with comprehensive data bank software, new bar position sensors and a handheld remote control.
