They range in size from 6" to 16" in diameter (150 mm to 40 mm), and low profiles range from 2.2" to 2.9" (57 mm to 75 mm). Custom sizes are also available. Common workpieces suited for these chucks are ring-shaped parts such as bearing races. The pole chucks feature a solid top plate composed of steel and brass material, thereby providing greater rigidity and less wear than the typical epoxy-based radial pole chucks available. The chucks also offer a uniform holding force of 145 lb/in2 (100N/cm2) and have the capacity to have a central though-hole.
