Schunk’s TENDO E hydraulic expansion toolholder is suited for high-volume cutting. According to the company, it can safely transfer torques ranging to 520 Nm (384 foot-pounds) at a 20-mm clamping diameter. With quality vibration damping and runout accuracy of less than 0.003 mm (0.0001") at 2.5 × D, the holder protects the machine spindle and the cutting tool. The hydraulic expansion toolholder is designed for applications ranging from rough milling to reaming, fine milling and other finishing operations.
Tools can be quickly changed with an Allen key, making the hydraulic expansion toolholder an alternative for operations in which the toolholder quantities do not justify peripheral equipment purchases, the company says.
All common spindle connections are available for ¾" HSK-A63, SK40, BT40 and CAT40 interfaces.
Slim Milling Chuck Provides High Gripping Force
Big Kaiser has launched the HMCJ, a super-slim milling chuck with peripheral coolant supply, designed to support heavy-duty and finish-end-milling tasks with power and precision using ½"- or 12-mm-diameter cutters.
