Available from Koma Precision, the Elbo Controlli 66B and 68B presetters have the capacity to handle larger, heavier tools with a measuring range of 800 mm on the Z axis. The presetters feature a ground granite and stainless steel construction and are designed to be freestanding on an integral base. The high-precision spindle system is fully interchangeable and uses a one-piece cartridge with full mechanical tool clamping to pneumatically draw the bar pull stud into the taper cone, eliminating the need for adapters. All axis movements are servo-controlled without operator contact with the column, increasing machine accuracy and repeatability. Both models are equipped with a 15" TFT touchscreen and optical autofocus. The ToolingUp software package works through a direct numerical control system to convert measured tool data into CNC code for loading into the machine controller and associated tool offset pages.
