All drills feature a parabolic flute design with quick helix for increased chip space and improved chip breaking and removal capabilities. This allows the drill to reach greater hole depths without pecking operations, the company says.

A thick web design increases the structural strength of the drill to improve rigidity and minimize drill breakage. In addition, the special point geometry aids in centering, eliminating the requirement for a pilot hole, and reduces both thrust force and power requirements.

A Smooth-Flow coating option also is available on specific lengths. This additional surface treatment reduces the coefficient of friction, increases wear resistance and, in combination with the parabolic flute, virtually eliminates chip packing at greater depths, the company says.
