The company’s Bock Brand Quick Change System, Ball Lock Mounting System and Zero Point System are designed to boost machine uptime by speeding setups and change-overs. The foundation for the Bock Brand Quick Change System alpha-numeric locator plate, upon which Twin Vises and Mono Quads can be mounted with the company’s Dexloc Double Expanding Locator Pins. The system offers positioning repeatability of ±0.001" (0.0254 mm).
The Ball Lock Mounting System offers fast and accurate locating and locking of vises and fixtures to subplates, positioning fixtures with a repeatability of ±0.0005" (+0.013 mm). Fixtures can often be changed in less than a minute, and can be exchanged between different machines when both are using the Ball Lock System, the company says.
According to the company, the Zero Point System (ZPS) can cut set up times by up to 90 percent with repeatability within ±0.0002" (0.005 mm). This system allows users to fix, position and clamp in a single step. Available with either pneumatic or hydraulic release capability, these positive-locking locating modules allow operators to quickly change out large and small fixtures with minimal effort.
