Fibro presents the FibroMax 2.0 series of heavy-load positioning tables that represents a second generation of the company’s XXL rotary tables. In comparison to the first generation, the bearing diameter and thus the rigidity has increased significantly. When in position, a hydraulic table-top clamp increases the tangential torque and relieves stress on the gear. A preloaded bearing and a backlash-free twin drive create ideal conditions for circular milling and simultaneous machining, the company says. The large roller bearings of the series reliably absorb both radial and axial forces without thermal growth. The positioning tables are available in four sizes, with diameters of 1,250, 1,800, 2,500 and 3,200 mm for transport loads of 25, 50, 100 and 400 tons, respectively.
