Seco’s Turbo 10 series of square shoulder milling cutters offers inserts with updated geometries and radii, as well as helical cutters for increased machining flexibility in tough materials. The expanded range of inserts includes both direct-pressed and ground insert alternatives with corner radii ranging from 0.4 to 3.1 mm. The geometries in the ground insert range are said to improve performance in materials such as aluminum, stainless steels and titanium alloys.
The new helical cutters are designed for process stability, flexibility and high precision in helical shoulder milling applications. They are available in diameters ranging from 20 to 54 mm and include Weldon, Seco Weldon and Combimaster heads, with Seco-Capto and Arbor mounting options. The cutters feature precision-milled pocket seats said to improve run-out, stability and tool life by optimizing contact between the tool body and insert. Integrated through-coolant channels promote chip evacuation. The cutters are suitable for slotting, shouldering, ramping, facing, pocketing, plunging and turn-mill applications.
The company will also display its Double Octomill face-milling cutter featuring 16 cutting edges, and the Square 6 milling cutter offering three cutting edges on each side.
