The Mikron HSM 400U is said to deliver powerful performance and precision on all five axes to produce high-quality surface finishes for demanding high-precision applications. Designed to accommodate workpieces ranging to 9.05" × 13.77", the machine offers levels of reliability, traceability and accuracy ideal for prototype and mold construction, the company says. Additionally, the machine uses liquid-cooled, direct-drive motor technology to achieve speeds as fast as 250 rpm on the rotational axis and 150 rpm on the swivel axis, with a swivel range of +100 degrees/-30 degrees.
The company also offers its CUT 20 wire EDM and the Form 20 die sinking EDM.
