SMW Autoblok features its SJL six-jaw (2+2+2) equalizing chuck, a high-precision power chuck intended for clamping easily deformed components while providing flexibility to hold workpieces as a true six-jaw self-centering chuck. Its centrifugal force compensation system enables higher speeds and feeds to reduce production time. The 2+2+2 equalization capability ensures that all six jaws are in contact with the workpiece at all times, thus minimizing deformations or inaccuracies of the component, making it suitable for clamping raw materials. The six-jaw self-centering option uses a concentric clamp with all six jaws, enabling it to hold round, machined diameters and thin-walled workpieces.
Available in tongue-and-groove as well as metric serration options, the chuck is available in sizes ranging from 225 to 400 mm.
