Small-Diameter Disc Brushes Access Hard-to-Reach Areas
Brush Research’s Nampower high-performance abrasive nylon disc brush line now includes a selection of small-diameter tools.
Brush Research’s Nampower high-performance abrasive nylon disc brush line now includes a selection of small-diameter tools. These new brushes are available in 50-, 60- and 80-mm diameters in both dot- and turbine-style configurations. A specialty flow-through toolholder with a 16-mm shank is also available to accommodate the smaller-diameter tools.
The brushes are made of a combination of ceramic and silicon carbide abrasive nylon mounted to a thermoplastic base. Because of their smaller diameters, the brushes offer greater versatility for hard-to-reach areas, smaller applications and planetary head mountings for consistent and cost-effective results, according to the company. They can be integrated into automated machinery such as CNC machining centers, transfer lines and robotic cells.
