The Euro-Tech Corporation company offers the INO System Spline Gages from Frenco, which are designed to provide a quick method of inspecting involute splines, serration splines and straight-sided splines to ensure interchangeability of parts even between different manufacturers.
The system is an internal standard designed around the external dimensional measurement of spline gages developed based on national and international standards and suited to highly sensitive and complex components/systems, says the company.
The spline gages are constructed of wear-resistant, high alloy HX powder steel. The hardness of the material, along with chromium and vanadium alloy content, determines the wear resistance of the spline gage. Use can determine the appropriate time intervals between wear inspections, depending on the wear resistance. For example, highly wear-resistant materials enable inspection intervals to be significantly extended.
Special steels are available for added durability, reduction of test equipment monitoring costs and reduced manufacturing or wear tolerances. They also offer traceability to PTB-certified parts, ensuring reliable measuring results.
The spline gages include comprehensive gage drawings (also available in electronic form) as well as a certification from the Frenco laboratory. All gages are permanently labeled with profile data, user identification numbers, a manufacturer's drawing and drawing number, material, serial number and date of manufacture. Additionally, spline gages are reusable and worn gages can be rebuilt. Special delivery is offered for emergency situations.
