Peterson Tool Company’s ThriftShave attachment has gone through an evolution of change in the past few years, according to the company. The manufacturing processes have been improved allowing Peterson Tool to hold better tolerances, in return helping the customer hold tighter part tolerances and improved part finishes. The company also added high-pressure coolant to the ThriftShave attachment that has been beneficial to our customers. The high-pressure coolant is plumbed through the ThriftShave head and has a quick disconnect for easy tool removal. There are adjustable eyelets that allow you to change the direction of the coolant to address the cutting edge or the part. Through-coolant for the ThriftShave attachment has also been added to multiple clamp designs as well. This system greatly increases the coolant flow and chip evacuation.
