The company’s 14" × 40" EVS toolroom lathes have a three-way bed constructed of precision ground Meehanite cast iron. The tailstock barrel moves 6" without moving the tailstock, and the lathe has an adjustable feed-rod clutch system for preventing crash damage. The machine is also equipped with "on-the-fly" feed-direction controls that enable the carriage to move back-and-forth during operation. The company’s SB1012 features a 5-hp, 220-V, three-phase 60-Hz motor. The SB1013 features a 5-hp, 440-V, three-phase 60 Hz motor.
