Esab says its newest family of flux-cored wires can be an alternative to traditional flux-cored wires, especially for less experienced welders. Dual Shield X wires offer a range of operating parameters as well as high deposition rates, fast travel speeds, flat-bead profile, limited spatter and easy slag removal, the company says.
Wires are available for applications with CO2 or mixed gases as well as for flat, horizontal and all-position welding. They are said to be useful for jobs ranging from general fabrication to critical welding applications.
