The VLC 200 H vertical hobber from Emag is designed for flexible, high-volume gear production as part of a modular system. The hobbing machine can be easily interlinked with other Emag machines; for example, it can be used in conjunction with a VL 2 for turning, and a VLC 100 D for deburring and single-sided chamfering in gear production.
Featuring a high-performance drive, the machine accommodates gears ranging to 200 mm in diameter. The Mineralit concrete base damps vibration and ensures consistent component quality. Hot chips generated by the process fall unhindered into a chip conveyor below. According to the company, the machine’s pick-up design minimizes idle times as the main spindle removes the raw part from the conveyor belt, transfers it to the tailstock and removes it from the machining area after completing the hobbing cycle.
