Hardinge's fully digital Bridgeport Conquest V1000 vertical machining center is engineered for high-capacity work for job shops as well as OEMs in the aerospace, automotive and power generation industries, among other manufacturing sectors. Featuring a Mitsubishi M70M control with Navi Mill programming, the VMC offers X- and Y-axis rapid traverse rates of 1,693 ipm and Z-axis rates of 1,417 ipm. The machine features a direct-drive, 20-hp, 10,000-rpm spindle motor with 75.2 foot-pounds of torque and a 30-tool, swing-arm automatic toolchanger. XYZ travels measure 40" × 24" × 24" (1,020 × 610 × 610 mm). Designed for rigidity, the VMC features 45-mm ballscrews on all axes as well as 35-mm linear guides on the X axis and 45-mm guides on the Y and Z axes.
Optional features include a part probe, tool probe, XYZ linear scales, through-coolant spindle, fourth- and fifth-axis (4+1) drive package, automatic power shutoff, spare M-codes, chip conveyor and automatic door.
