New Product Announcements From: 1/4/2007 Modern Machine Shop Designed for production of small ferrous and non-ferrous parts, the ES400 VMC can be used for medical applications such as the machining of orthopedic, trauma and spine components. The bridge-type machine is equipped with a 28" × 16" stationary table with load capacity of 1,100 lbs as well as an 8" drop table for added clearance. According to manufacturer Enshu, these features make the machine well-suited for tilt or rotary table applications. Despite the large stationary table, the machine features a footprint of 52" × 122".

 

The machine uses a temperature-controlled, 20,000-rpm BIG Plus/BT30 spindle and a Fanuc 18iMB5 control. Other features include 2,362-ipm (60 m/min) rapid traverse rates, synchronous tapping to 8,000 rpm, a Fanuc High Precision Contour Control (HPCC), Dataserver and Ethernet.
