Hwacheon offers the Sirius UX, a larger version of its UL+ and UM machines. The vertical machining center (VMC) features a 30-kW, 12,000-rpm built-in motor spindle. Options include 15,000-rpm and BBT-50. The 1,650-× 750-mm table and the 1,500- × 750- × 650-mm travel make the VMC well-suited for high-precision mold and die applications, the company says.
The machine features a jet-lubrication system and uses Hi-YUN cooling oil to minimize thermal deformation and vibration of the build-in motor spindle. Specifically developed machining software is said to increase thermal accuracy and machining performance. The machines are available in small, medium and large sizes.
