The NSV series of VMCs from YCI/YCM are designed for high-productivity applications in industries including aerospace, electronic and automotive. The series is also suited for job shops.

The NSV-156A expands travels to 60.2" in the X axis and 25.6" in the Y axis. The isolated direct-drive (IDD) spindle and rigid, internally ribbed Meehanite casting provide quality finishes and improve machining accuracy, the company says.

The machine features four Y-axis ways that use cross roller linear guide rails to provide 1,889 ipm rapids on X, Y and Z. Other features include a 30-hp spindle with speeds ranging to 12,000 rpm and 30 tools.
