Capable of producing complex parts out of virtually any material, the Mid Rail Gantry waterjet cutting machine features an exposed tank that accommodates overhead loading. A single abrasivejet cutting head is standard, and a second cutting head is available to increase productivity. Mirroring capabilities can be added to decrease part-cycle time.

The waterjet is ballscrew driven to increase accuracy, and it features heavy-wall, tubular steel construction designed to eliminate vibration and increase longevity. It uses an industrial PC controller and can be configured so that all three axes are fully programmable (Z optional). It also features direct-couple AC brushless digital servo motors and single or double carriages. The machine is available in a variety of sizes including 5 × 5, 5 × 13, 8 × 5, 8 × 13, 13 × 13, 21 × 5, 21 × 13, and 24 × 13 ft.

The company’s 100-hp, 90-ksi X-Stream xP90-100 waterjet intensifier pump is capable of producing 90,000 psi (6,200 bar) and supports continuous operating pressure of 75,000 psi. According to the company, the pump achieves faster cutting speeds than traditional 60-ksi waterjet pumps, and uses less water, less power and less abrasive. It is capable of producing flow rates of 1.45 gpm and supports an orifice as large as 0.017".
