New Product Announcements From: 7/2/2012 Modern Machine Shop

MicroRidge Systems will highlight its MobileCollect wireless measurement technology, which collects measurements from handheld gages using Mobile Modules. These modules attach securely to the gage or fixture and then send those measurements wirelessly to a PC for quality control.

According to the company, this technology is suitable for situations where there is heavy RF, significant machinery, robots or electrical noise. The device is said to reduce cable costs and downtime.

The technology supports a broad range of gages, calipers and other instruments, and can be configured for the large and small applications. Several transmitter and receiver options are offered to fit individual gaging and measurement collection requirements.
