The company’s expanded line of G-Force intelligent lifting devices includes the G-Jib, a fusion of the G-Force intelligent lifting device and an enclosed-track work station jib crane. The lifting device uses an industrial processor-controlled servodrive system for precision and speed. The G-Jib integrates the G-Force into a workstation jib crane. The actuator of the G-Force stays in a fixed position near the vertical truss of the crane, virtually eliminating the dead weight that is common when moving a hoist along the rail. According to the company, this is an easier way to move compared to the traditional workstation jib crane/chain hoist combo. The G-Jib maximizes productivity while minimizing the risk of injury to the operator.
The G-Jib moves with the motion of the operator, going as fast or as slow as the operator chooses to move. It is suited for lifting applications that require high speed at some points in the cycle and slow, precise movements at other points. The enclosed-track workstation jib cranes are easier to move and position than traditional I-beam jibs, the company says. The cold-formed, high strength enclosed track design keeps rolling surfaces clean, which contributes to easier movement and longer life.
