KOMA Precision, Inc. introduces a new line of high accuracy, high rigidity, energy saving and zero maintenance rotary tables from Tsudakoma, the world's leading manufacturer of high-quality, precision rotary tables. The RBS (Rotary Ball System) Series is a 4th axis rotary table series suitable for single axis VMC’s and the TBS (Tilt Ball System) is a 5th axis rotary table series suitable for dual axis use on VMC’s.
These rotary tables are built using the new ball drive system featuring advantages like zero backlash, improved cycle times, energy conservation and a lifetime adjustment-free transmission system.
Three new models are available for the RBS Series, with face-plate capacity of RBS-160 being 6.3" (160 mm), RBS-250 with 8.27" (210 mm) and RBS-320 with 10.04" (255 mm). The TBS Series is being introduced with TBS-130 and TBS-160 models. Both the RBS and TBS Series tables are highly rigid and have increased clamp torque delivered by the new improved clamp system design. Various options such as chucks, tailstocks, support spindles, and faceplates are available. Pneumatic and Hydraulic rotary joints for automatic load and unload of the work piece are also available.

High Pressure offset angle heads
The new series of offset angle heads feature a combination of high pressure coolant through the main spindle up to 100 bar with increased high speed option. Another big advantage is the possibility of dry running during machining, something that wasn’t available in the past and gives tremendous value to our customers’ changing application needs. These heads are a result of Alberti’s persistent research & development and attempt to deliver continuous improvement.
Hi Smart quick change angle heads
Alberti’s Smart Change System enables easy and precise quick-changing of the output adapters. The cost-effective units have a low profile with no additional projection to reduce the output profile. The easy-to-use design creates three points of contact between the angle head, output spindle and the smart change adapter. This triple contact design eliminates the compromise in concentricity and rigidity to gain the speed and convenience of quick-change tooling. To further increase productivity, the SmartChange System allows for tools to be externally preset. So the Smart Change output adapters can be staged and ready to use.

High Speed Turboflex Spindles
With the air driven high speed turboflex spindles it is possible to reach 60,000 RPM output. These high performance spindles can be easily installed on the machine through a special stop block and controller unit connected to the NC. These are most suited for micromachining, engraving, small drilling, milling and polishing operations.
The TID System is an innovative tool identification system from Elbo Controlli that empowers workshops with an easy, affordable solution for tool data management. The TID system is a tool identification system that establishes an interface between the Elbo Controlli tool presetter and the machine tool NC controller. The TID system features an intuitive graphical user interface that enables operators to eliminate errors during data transfer.
The traditional expensive storage media are replaced with a barcode datamatrix code that uniquely identifies a tool. The code can be applied to a tool with a laser marking system or a printed label. A 2D datamatrix reader is included with the purchase of the software license. The TID software stores the tool data for each tool in a database. The software updates the tool information during loading and unloading of the tool.
The TID system can interact and acquire data directly from the CNC machines and the tool presetter thus making the integration with the machine and tool presetter easy. TID also allows configuration of the format and data mapping for tool identification. It allows full customization to manage different configurations as specified by the machine tool manufacturer.
The TID software is a cost effective solution that eliminates additional costs associated with the purchase of traditional storage media, multiple electronic scanners and mechanical settings modifications to the CNC machine PLC.
The TID system software can be installed on all advanced Elbo Controlli tool presetters namely Sethy Six, Hathor Six, E46L, E46L TW, 68B and the Amon Ra. Koma Precision’s Elbo Controlli Tool Presetter app in the Okuma App Store delivers outstanding machining precision that increases cutting accuracies and shop efficiencies. Okuma machine tool apps put the power of improving part quality, reducing costs and increasing profitability in your hands. This app can be downloaded for free from the Okuma App Store.
The app makes it possible for users to easily measure the tools (radius and length) and then directly send the offsets to the Okuma OSP-P control to update the local tool offset table. Physical measurements can be completed with the tool offset number. Once a valid measure is received from the presetter, the program will allow data to be sent to the controller.

Tsudakoma, the world's leading manufacturer of high-quality, precision rotary tables has developed the new RDS Series direct drive rotary tables. This series utilizes Tsudakoma’s proprietary direct drive motor system enabling the rotary table to achieve high speed and acceleration with no backlash. The RDS-200 model is a compact single axis 150 rpm direct drive rotary table with indexing accuracy of ±10 arc seconds and a strong pneumatic braking system. Various options such as rotary joints, chucks, tailstocks, support spindles, and faceplates are available. The Leonardo electric spindle is the latest innovation from Alberti featuring automatic tool change and speeds up to 60,000 RPM. This revolutionary system comprises of a main tool body with indexing pin, a stop block with cable and a controller unit. The controller unit is completely integrated with the machine controller so that the main functions of the head, for example speed, can be directly controlled from the machine. The electric contacts in the stop block and the indexing pin feature a safety cover and allow electric connections only when the head is loaded into the machine spindle.
The Leonardo system can achieve a high speed of 60,000 RPM while maintaining the spindle position and accuracy. The stop block is custom made for each machine type so that it fits perfectly. A 32 feet cable is provided to easily connect the stop block to the machine controller. This system can be retrofitted on all machines capable of installing a stop block as well as on brand new machining centers as an add-on option.
Leonardo is particularly suitable for small machining such as drilling, milling, grinding and engraving up to a 6mm collet, it will definitely enhance the capability of your machine.
