A Special Message from American National Carbide

Turning, Milling, Drilling and Boring Inserts

American National Carbide announces a new turning grade insert for high speed machining of stainless steel and most steels in roughing to semi-finishing applications. The new AN2025 grade has a tough cobalt-enriched substrate and a multi-layered ceramic CVD coating to enhance edge strength. Other benefits include good resistance to flank wear and plastic deformation, low fracture toughness with medium abrasion resistance. In addition, the multi-layered coating provides strength and lubricity. AN2025 is available in a variety of chip-control geometries-HF positive rake grade for high speed finishing and PGR-style for fine finishing.
