Epilog Laser Celebrates 20th Anniversary in 2008
As the company starts off 2008 with a bang, Epilog Laser, the leading producer of flying-optics based CO2 and fiber laser systems is excited to announce its twentieth anniversary celebration has commenced. “We must be doing something right!” said Mike Dean, director of sales and marketing for Epilog. “We’ve been in this business for 20 years now and it’s been a great ride. We’ve spent the past two decades learning, researching, designing and improving – and we plan on doing the same things for the next 20 years.” Epilog Laser was created in 1988 by two Georgia Tech buddies, Steve Garnier and John Doran, who eventually became the company’s CEO and vice president of engineering, respectively. In 20 short years Epilog Laser has gone from basement operation to industry leader in the design and manufacturing of CO2 and fiber laser systems. The company is the epitome of innovation, creating the very first laser to “print” directly from CorelDRAW, to the first rotary attachment, to the first large-format table, to the first 100-watt laser and beyond. Bringing so many “firsts” to the industry table makes Epilog is known throughout the laser engraving industry for implementing useful features that enhance customers’ ability to work more efficiently and reap higher profits. “We’d like to acknowledge our dedicated employees, wonderful distributors, and most of all, Epilog customers,” Dean said. “Without such strong force believing in us and our product, none of this would be possible.
