The Euroturn 6/26 CNC is controlled by a Siemens 840D with 21-axis capability. The system features a Windows-based operating system and an on-board CAD/CAM system. The control can be configured for ISO programming or the exclusive TJMC Virtual CAM programming system that allows the operator to program the machine as if he were setting cams on a standard machine. Machine operations can be stopped, restarted or reversed. The radial slides have optical scales and the axial slides have absolute encoders to help produce accurate parts. The 6/26 CNC also has a back-working spindle to help produce complete parts in one setup. The machine can be connected to an Ethernet network for remote diagnostic services to help put the machine back into production as soon as possible. Also available is the Euro-Loader for automatic loading for all five, six and eight multi-spindle lathes, as well as information on Crowly Tool Co.'s insertable tooling system.
