New from Lyndex-Nikken, the compact CNC260 Rotary Table is packed with performance upgrades. Though featuring a smaller motor body, and a reduced overall footprint, the table diameter of the CNC260 is 10 mm larger than Lyndex-Nikken's earlier CNC250 model. Maximum workload on the table vertically and horizontally has improved by 25 kg and 50 kg respectively. Other enhancements include thrust loads of 25,480 N, 984 Nm and 3,332 Nm and work inertia of 3.2 kg m2, as well as a larger thru-hole.
An optional hydraulic braking system for the CNC260 provides five times the torque compared to rotary tables similar in size.
Supplied by Lyndex-Nikken, Nikken rotary tables are designed with a unique and patented carbide worm system. The carbide worm system incorporates a carbide worm screw and an ion nitrided worm wheel, rather than a conventional bronze or bronze alloy actuation mechanism. The result is a reduction in friction and wear by up to eight times. The worm screw consists of a less brittle V-grade form of carbide, while the worm gear is ion nitrided to a depth of 0.1 mm and an external surface hardness of 68 Rc. These properties, as well as a steel way hardened to 58-60 Rc, all work to enhance system rigidity and longevity, and make Lyndex-Nikken rotary tables ideal for high-speed, high-accuracy rotation.

Lyndex-Nikken's new high performance VC Toolholder, operating at up to 40,000 rpm, offers the ultimate in high speed, high accuracy and ultra smooth surface finishes. Nikken's engineers have designed a completely new collet system unlike any other.
The unique design characteristics of the VC result in high accuracy (runout is within 0.00012" at 4xD) and finishes. Its slim and smooth profile eliminates noise related to high-speed rotation, while it reduces the air current created by the hex nuts and slots on the periphery of most toolholders. Dampening of micro harmonic vibrations is achieved with the use of a groove under the nut. What's more, a thicker wall at the base of the VC, and its short gauge length, allow for greater rigidity and static stiffness. As an option, axial adjustment is easily achieved with an adjustment screw. High pressure coolant-thru is also available. The VC design features a TiN bearing nut that makes greater torque possible by reducing the friction associated with nut tightening.
The 8 degree collet design of the VC further contributes to rigidity and gripping torque. The extended straight portion of the collet pilots and maintains the concentric placement of the tool. Its flat shoulder design results in heightened perpendicular force transfer. The VC is balanced with the collet for operation up to 40,000 rpm.
Easy to use, the VC does not require fixtures or couplings to install or remove collets from nuts. A GH handle wrench provides two-way lock and unlock for quick installation of tooling.
The VC is available in 30-, 40- and 50-tapers, as well as HSK and Nikken 3-Lock models.

Lyndex-Nikken introduces the new 5AX-201 rotary table featuring a large 8" faceplate trunion work envelope that can be incorporated in smaller BT30 vertical machining centers such as the Fanuc Robodrill, Brother Drill and Tap and Kitamura Mycenter. It provides a workholding space traditionally associated with larger 40 taper machines, but with a compact body design that allows it to be used in conjunction with the speed and versatility BT30 machines have to offer.

Lyndex-Nikken's new E-450 presetter by Elbo Controlli offers the latest technology for exceptional accuracy in tool measurement and inspection. For rigid and accurate performance, the E-450 features a unique ground granite column and base, a spindle body assembled on spring roller cages and optical scales. The movement accuracy of both X and Z axes is guaranteed through the use of stable granite supporting surfaces. What's more, the spindle body on the E-450's machine base limits run-out error to less than 2µm. A radial rotation spindle brake eliminates the error of rotational axis misalignment. Also ensuring accuracy, the optical scales of the E-450 detect interference produced by part movement through the use of a glass ruler attached to the fixed part of the machine. Each optical scale has a resolution of 1µm.
The E-450 incorporates a double system of prismatic rails for X-axis movement with three double re-circulating ball bearing sliding blocks and a monorail with one sliding block for the Z-axis. Axis movements for the E-450 include manual rapid and manual micrometric adjustments.
Elbo Controlli's exclusive Twinvision-S camera system is expertly engineered to complement the precise performance of the E-450. A single C-MOS image sensor manages both the inspection and measurement functions using a double lighting source. A multi-LED annular system with brightness adjustment allows for adequate lighting of the cutting edge in inspection mode. The inclusion of a single camera allows for reliability, even in the inspection mode.
The maximum measuring diameter of the E-450 is 400 mm (radius 200 mm) and the maximum measuring height is 500 mm.

With taper and flange dual contact, Lyndex-Nikken's new 3Lock System improves machine tool cutting performance and increases cutting tool life.
The 3Lock System's internal expanding pressure capability maintains correct taper to flange ratio. Counteracting the centrifugal force produced from the machine spindle, the 3Lock eliminates vibration and promotes smooth cutting. Lyndex-Nikken's 5AX-2MT Multiple Spindle Rotary Tilt Table is designed for high production applications.
The rotational speed of the 5AX-2MT is 22.2 rpm, with a tilting rotational speed of 11.1 rpm. Both the rotary and the tilting axes can be controlled by either the machine's CNC control or via independent controllers.
The 5AX-2MT features a table size of 105mm diameter. The maximum workload on the table is 15kg per spindle. A powerful braking system is included producing 147Nm clamping torque.

Lyndex-Nikken's self-sealed ER Coolant Collets prevent coolant from reaching the collet face without the need for plugs, discs or other hardware. The ER's patented staggered slot design works to fully prevent coolant from reaching the collet face.
For a longer life, Lyndex-Nikken ER coolant collets are made of durable solid steel, and contain no wearable rubber or silicone parts. In addition, with these ER coolant collets, drill insertion need not be longer than the collet length.
Lyndex-Nikken ER coolant collets are designed for use with cylindrical shank tools (no flats), in diameters ranging from 4 - 26 mm. Coolant pressure of 1800 psi is guaranteed - virtually unlimited pressure without failures.

With the introduction of its E123 Presetter, Lyndex-Nikken has successfully combined accuracy and affordability in tool measurement and inspection. Lyndex-Nikken's E123 is in fact the easiest to use, the most precise and the highest tech presetter in it class on the market.
For rigid and accurate performance, the E123 features the same solid ground granite column and base construction as more expensive presettters from the Lyndex-Nikken line. The movement accuracy of both X and Z axes is guaranteed through the use of stable granite supporting surfaces. Hand wheels are incorporated for final framing of the profile in the screen.
E123 Presetters feature a fixed rotating spindle that uses six mini bearings with radial concentricity error compensation. Two standard versions are available - ISO/BT/CAT40 and ISO/BT/CAT50.
The E123 is equipped with a touch-screen vision system featuring a full-color LCD screen. A C-MOS image sensor with STN screen allows accurate measuring of any kind of tool profile. Measurement is fully automatic and includes both radii and angle values. Focusing bars are included to ensure repeatability. X-Axis measuring range is 130mm (ø260mm) and Z-Axis is 360mm. Lyndex-Nikken's Shrink Fit Holders are quality designed and constructed for optimum accuracy, rigidity and balance. Featuring solid construction and Japanese engineering, these holders offer minimal variations of unbalance when changing cutting tools.
Used in combination with a Shrink Fit Unit, Shrink Fit Tool Holders rapidly heat up to expand the inside diameter of the holder. As the holder cools, the thermal contraction exerts a uniform pressure that shrinks down around the tool for uniform and superior gripping. This process not only ensures accuracy, but also allows for tool changes of less than 30 seconds.
The separate Shrink Fit Unit, also available form Lyndex-Nikken, employs a unique direct liquid-cooling method that quickly and safely cools tools down.
Lyndex-Nikken Shrink Fit Holders are designed to be symmetrical. All Shrink Fit Holders are pre-balanced (to G2.5 at 40,000 rpm on all HSK32E/40E holders, to G2.5 at 20,000 rpm on all #40 taper/HSK63 holders and to G2.5 at 15,000 rpm on all #50 taper/HSK100 holders). Most of these holders are capable of being balanced with the use of an optional balancing kit. Lyndex-Nikken offers a complete line of Shrink Fit Holders in both inch and metric sizes.

The accuracy, rigidity and balance of Lyndex-Nikken's HSK80F Shrink Fit Holders makes them ideally suited for Makino MAG machines. Featuring solid construction and Japanese engineering, these holders are designed for high productivity machining of complex aluminum monolithic parts for aerospace.

They are manufactured to DIN69893-5 and 6 standards, supplied with drive pins per Makino's specifications, balanced to 33,000 rpm and available in short overall tool lengths within 3.00".
