Upcoming Events Offer Details on PartMaker 2012
Delcam’s PartMaker division has scheduled two user group meetings to update customers on developments in PartMaker 2012, the latest version of the CAM system for turn-mills, bar-fed mills and Swiss-type lathes.   The first is scheduled for January 26 at the Holiday Inn in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, close to the PartMaker headquarters.

PartMaker Training Initiative Aims To Reduce Skills Gap
PartMaker (Fort Washington, Pennsylvania), a division of Delcam, is offering free and reduced-cost training for its knowledge-based CAM system in an effort to help manufacturers take full advantage of Swiss-type and Turn-mill machine capabilities.   Any new or existing customer that orders more than $10,000 worth of software from the company before the end of the year will receive free training for one student (these customers can take the training in 2012 if they wish). Customers seeking only training will receive a 20 percent discount on standard rates.

Software Receives Autodesk Certification
PartMaker, a subsidiary of Delcam, has announced that PartMaker version 9 has been certified for use with Autodesk’s Inventor 2010 solid modeling design system. The CAD/CAM software, which is suited for CNC mills, lathes, wire EDM, turn-mill centers and Swiss-type lathes, attained this certification by meeting certain criteria and demonstrating a high level of interoperability with Autodesk Inventor 2010.

CAD/CAM Software Reduces Time, Errors
The latest version of PartMaker CAD/CAM software allows users to integrate a solid model into a programming window and assign tool paths directly to the model. Critical manufacturing data is automatically retrieved from a solid model using the software’s new “Extract Parameters from Solids” feature.
