Deep Hole Drilling
The SXC series of high performance long drills are said to last a long time, run quickly and reduce downtime because of premature tool changes when machining stainless steel and cast materials. The long drills are spiral fluted, right-hand cut with spiral shaped internal coolant with depths at 16×D, 20×D, 25×D and 30×D.
Designed with 135-degree split point geometry, the series of long drills offers superior drill penetration and accuracy as the cam release drill point creates stronger, more symmetrical end geometry, self-centering with high penetration capabilities, the company says. The internal coolant design promotes controlled and steady operating temperatures to improve coolant flow to the cut while maintaining strength to increase tool life at increased operating parameters.
Weldon flats are available upon request while all long drills are Varianta Supral coated for machining all types of steel under dry as well as wet conditions.

Variable Helix 5 Flute End Mill with Eccentric Land
The 556 series from PCT-GW Cutting Tools U.S.A. is a five-flute, variable, carbide end mill with an eccentric land and asymmetrical flutes. This design helps eliminate harmful harmonics at the point of contact, producing a smoother cut and enhanced chip ejection. The 556 series design facilitates increased cutting depth and metal removal rates without loss of speed or tool life. The end mill series is AlTiCrN-coated in-house to offer wear resistance for increased speeds and feeds, part quality, and effectiveness.

PM4 Powdered Metal EndMills - PM4 is a high vanadium powder metal HSS steel. Compared to conventional high-speed steel M2 and M7, PM4 series endmills offer a much longer extended tool life, reduce machine down time and bring down overall cost. PM4 is ideal for aluminum, since it provides better wear resistance & toughness.
Aluminum and High Temperature alloy series Solid Carbide EndMills - With higher rupture strength (TRS 620,000), PowerMill Carbide Series maximize performance and increase productivity. Raised land geometric design allows easy re-sharpening and reduces cost. Coating and radius are available based on customer’s specification.
Powdered Metal Premium PM30--8.5% Cobalt & PM60--10.5% Cobalt EndMills - PM 30/60 is very effective for milling applications especially for high temperature alloys and exotic alloys such as Titanium, Stainless Steel, Heat-Treated Steel, Invar, Inconel, Hastalloy, Monel, Rene, Waspalloy, and many other nickel based alloys.

Long Drills Last Longer, Cut Downtime
When cutting stainless steel and cast materials, PCT-GW Cutting Tools’ SXC series high-performance long drills are designed for increased tool life, faster runs and reduced downtime due to premature tool changes
Extensive Line Of Carbide Drills
The company says its carbide drills are manufactured locally to supply the U. S. metalworking market with reliable, quality tools.
Alternate Tool Material For Hogging Large Workpieces
Shops often use either carbide or high speed steel cutting tools for hogging out the large workpieces common to the aerospace and moldmaking industries. While both materials have their advantages and disadvantages, cutting tool manufacturer Precision Cutting Tools says powder metal combines the best features of both.
Cutting Tool Manufacturer Produces Carbide Rods
Precision Cutting Tools/Gunther Wirth (PCT/GW) has started production of micro-grain carbide rods at its manufacturing plant in Balzheim, Germany. According to Shamir Sheth, PCT president, this development will both insulate the company against rising raw material prices and enable customized production parameters
