ISO 9001:2000 Certified, Precision Punch Corporation offers more quality, more dependability and more accountability.
It began in a home basement back in 1965...a time when industrial manufacturing in Connecticut flourished. It was then when the Royal Typewriter Co. relied upon the manufacturing ingenuity of Precision Punch’s founder, R.V. Peterson, for quality and precision components used in its world-class typewriters. The typewriters are gone but, as was then and is now, customer service is the doctrine that has guided the company’s growth.
While many of the local industries, including other tool and die manufacturers, found it extremely difficult to adjust to the region’s economic transitions, Precision Punch reached internally to enhance its productivity and quality. Time never stands still, neither does Precision Punch. By servicing so many diversified industries in need of application-specific designs the company learned that, besides quality, adaptability to customer needs was the difference between success and failure. And, if they recognized that a job request went beyond their capabilities they would readily admit their limitations rather than attempt to make an unsatisfactory product.
Physically and technologically, the company continued to evolve. Leaving its basement roots, the company moved several times, obtaining work space efficiently proportioned to its needs. Driven by its growth, in 2003 the company constructed an all new, technologically equipped, 40,000 sq.ft., manufacturing center only a few miles from their original home.
Through the years, as costs continued to rise the company employed a business approach similar to the Japanese model. Use what you have as efficiently as possible and always continue to evaluate the operation, equipment and personnel to make sure that the end-results are always positive.
After 40 years, Precision Punch continues to pursue a high degree of excellence and customer satisfaction. How satisfied are the customers? A recent survey of new business activities indicated that 43% of its newly acquired business originated from customer referrals.
Reflecting on the past 40 years, the company has continuously integrated experience with technology, always being a step ahead of its competitors, giving customers a competitive advantage by continuing to deliver them proven quality, dependability and accountability.
