Royal CNC Bar Pullers
Royal CNC bar pullers can be used to easily automate any CNC lathe or turning center. Bar pullers improve productivity by enabling CNC lathes to run unattended, freeing up operators to handle other tasks. Royal CNC bar pullers are inexpensive, require minimal setup, and can be easily fit to any CNC lathe.
Royal bar pullers have a number of advantages over bar feeders:
Bar pullers are much less expensive. The average cost of a Royal bar puller is $600, compared to $10,000 - $30,000 for a bar feeder.
Royal bar pullers are easier to setup and use — no electrical interface with the machine tool control is required.
Bar pullers don’t waste valuable floor space.
Bar pullers can be easily moved from machine to machine as jobs require.
Royal bar pullers offer maintenance-free operation.
Royal Ultra-Precision ER Collet Chucks
Royal Products has introduced a new line of Precision ER Collet Chucks with runout guaranteed to be less than 0.0001" TIR between the O.D. taper and I.D. socket. When used in conjunction with Royal Ultra-Precision ER Collets, overall system accuracy is guaranteed to be 0.0003" TIR or better. This high accuracy helps to ensure an evenly distributed chip load and results in a significant increase in cutting tool life.
All Royal ER Collet Chucks incorporate a tapered shank ground to AT-3 specifications for a precise fit with the machine tool spindle taper, and a specially ground clamping nut to ensure near-perfect roundness. These features result in reduced vibration, increased rigidity, and higher clamping force on the cutting tool. Each Royal ER Collet Chuck is dynamically balanced to G2.5 at 18,000 rpm and includes a serialized balance certificate. A central thru-coolant feature is standard on all models.
Work Handling’s Final Step
Machine tool accessories supplier Royal Products manufactures centers, but the company was damaging some of these parts because of its approach to work handling. Learn how the company changed it work handling approach, and was able to run lathes unattended.
Making the Move to Multitasking
Implementing a done-in-one approach to production has to be managed carefully. This shop seems to have made all the right moves in what has turned out to be a truly transformative experience.
Get A (Tight) Grip
High toolholder gripping torque reduces the likelihood that a tool will slip within a toolholder during a cutting operation. A mechanical toolholder design provides a very high gripping torque via a worm gear that compresses a shallow-taper collet tightly around a tool shank.
