Open House To Celebrate Decade-Long Partnership
To celebrate a 10-year partnership with Fanuc Robotics, Weldon Solutions will host an open house July 21 at its facility on East Berlin Road in York, Pennsylvania. “The open house is intended to showcase the work that Weldon Solutions has performed for our customers over the years and how Fanuc Robotics has helped us to automate, innovate and educate,” says George Sipe, Weldon presidenl Attendees, which will include Weldon clients and prospects as well as members of the Manufacturers Association of south-central Pennsylvania, will have the opportunity to experience the 10-year partnership with Fanuc through live demonstrations and presentations.
Weldon Moves To New Location
Pennsylvania-based Weldon Solutions, a manufacturer of cylindrical grinders and robotic systems, has moved into new facilities on East Berlin Road in York. The new location features a 2,300-square-foot showroom and a total of 40,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space. The company’s previous location contained approximately 30,000 square feet.
Grinder Designed For CBN Peel-Grinding Applications
The Altaira is designed to satisfy high-production OD grinding applications on work parts with diameters ranging to 16", with an overall length ranging to 40" and as heavy as 600 lbs. The grinder’s high-speed spindle capability and the inherent stiffness are suited for high speed CBN peel-grinding applications.
Weldon Solutions Builds New Facility
Weldon Solutions has begun construction on a new facility that will feature 40,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space. Located 10 minutes west of the current location in York, Pennsylvania, the new facility also has room to grow-future plans include a 21,000-square-foot expansion. The move was announced
Steel Rod Mill Uses Flexible Programming For Grinding Of Carbide Forming Rolls
Two grinding operations are typically performed on these carbide rolls. The first is a topping operation (an OD operation) using a straight-faced 14-inch diamond OD grinding wheel. The second operation is form grinding the pass configuration.
