Ultimate Versatility
The 1632 Gold and 1612 Gold are the ultimate in CNC cylindrical grinders with OD/ID and non-round capabilities. These machines can automatically grind diameters, tapers, chamfers, radii, shoulders, and contours in one set-up and one continuous operation. The Gold grinders feature an innovative shear damping base design which provides superior damping, greater thermal stability, and improved static and dynamic stiffness. The two models are customized to fit specific applications and are differentiated by a 12" or 32" between centers length and corresponding footprint. Both feature a GE Fanuc CNC control. Available options include a programmable "C" axis work-head for non-round grinding, a power-operated swingdown ID system, and various wheel dressers.

High Production Grinding
The MIDAS Series includes eight CNC cylindrical grinders that are designed to meet the rigorous demands and exacting requirements of high production grinding. The grinders incorporate the extremely stiff shear damping base design used in Weldon's GOLD models. Each MIDAS grinder has been uniquely configured with a large grinding wheel, increased horsepower, a straight or angular wheel-head, GE Fanuc CNC control, 16" swing, and 12" or 32" between centers capacity. The models are customized to fit specific applications and are readily adaptable for factory automation.

Compact Precision
The Weldon Solaris CNC cylindrical grinder is designed to satisfy processing of large, heavy work parts. Rotary and linear axes are sealed from airborne contaminates providing unmatched longevity in carbide and ceramic grinding applications.
Available with either a straight or angular wheel head (factory set) the Solaris can grind outside diameters, shoulders, and faces in a single set-up. The CNC control can address complex form grinding (tapers, radii, etc.) via form dressed wheels or profiling. Properly equipped, a Solaris is ideally suited for high speed “Peel” grinding with CBN abrasives. Additionally, a programmable “C” axis package can be provided to accommodate non-round grinding applications.
A sub-spindle option is also available to present a second OD wheel or an internal grinding wheel for sequential grinding of various part features.

Small Capacity ID
The Weldon UGC is a small part CNC grinding system ideally suited for internal, external and face grinding in a chucking mode. An optional “C” axis package provides non-round (cam) grinding capability.
Designed for the use or conventional or super abrasives, the UGC can accommodate both diamond and CBN grinding wheels. The UGC can be equipped with up to three (3) grinding spindles for multiple feature grinding (bores, outside diameters, faces, etc.) in a single set-up.

Single or Dual Spindle ID Grinding
The Phoenix ID Grinder is Weldon's new compact ID Grinder. The Phoenix can automatically grind diameters, tapers, chamfers, radii, shoulders, and contours in one set-up and one continuous operation using a GE Fanuc CNC control. The Dual Spindle option offers the possibility to grind two different surfaces in one setup or accomplish a rough and finish grind in a single chucking. The grinder can be configured with spindles to best match the diameters that are being ground for the highest possible performance. The addition of a variable speed rotary dresser allows for dressing of both aluminum oxide and superabrasive grinding wheels.

Compact Precision
The AGN4 has been designed to produce high precision small parts and is capable of performing plunge, contour, and traverse grinding operations. This compact machine occupies only 30 square feet of floor space, but its standard configuration makes it adaptable for factory automation. The fully enclosed grinder is available with either a straight or 30° angular wheelhead. he grinder is equipped with a combination live/dead spindle workhead for versatility.
