Wilcox Associates, a Hexagon Metrology company, has developed the PC-DMIS Reshaper, a stand-alone 3D point-cloud processing program that can be used to collect or import large quantities of 3D point data for manipulation and processing for downstream processes, such as CAD modeling, CAM or rapid prototyping. Designed to operate as a fully functional application either online or offline, the program collects data in real-time via a direct connection to a digitizing device, or offline via file import.

Hexagon Moves To Enhance 3D Point Cloud Offering
Hexagon Metrology has acquired Technodigit SARL, the Lyon, France-based developer of 3DReshaper software. The software is designed for 3D point cloud and 3D mesh manipulation for reverse engineering, rapid prototyping, product design and industrial inspection. It is expected to increase users’ capability to organize and manipulate the millions of data points created with high speed laser scanning systems such as Hexagon’s ScanShark laser probe and the Leica T-Scan.
