Simon Manns boasts 20 years of CNC tool grinding experience, spanning applications, software development, and product management in two continents. After graduating Britain’s Trent University with an honors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Simon began as an applications, software, and service engineer for WALTER in the UK. He then joined the team developing tool grinding software for WALTER’s hit tool grinders, first in Germany (1989-1991) and then in the UK (1991-1997). From 1997 through 2003, Simon led the team creating software for the US market in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Since 2003 he has been the Product Manager for the Helitronic machine, the world’s most successful CNC tool grinder.
