Machine Tool Specification Information Made Available To MMS Online Visitors

A powerful new capability will allow MMS Online visitors to compare machine tools by brand and capability to speed and simplify the search for the right machine.

Gardner Publications, Inc., publisher of Modern Machine Shop, and Techspex have entered into a formal partnership agreement on marketing and content integration between the Techspex machine tool database and Gardner’s flagship website MMSonline.com as well as other Gardner properties.

Techspex is a searchable database of over 7,000 new machine tool models and the builders, distributors, and tooling and accessory suppliers that sell and support them. Manufacturers and metalworking shops can use the free research and analysis tools to help them identify the right machine for their application. There are currently over 600 machine tool brands and 7,500 new models to choose from in the database. A “model search” form allows users to enter the type and general size of the machine they want in order to find all possible machines in the database that meet their needs.

According to Gardner President Rick Kline, “This agreement will allow us to incorporate Techspex’s robust machine tool specification information with existing supplier content in the Web sites for our Modern Machine Shop, Production Machining and Moldmaking Technology properties. It will make our sites better resources, combining our deep technology and applications content with detailed equipment specification data. This will provide a more complete user experience for the some 200,000 visitors to our metalworking sites every month as they research machine tool supplier sources.”

Both parties agree that, together, they can provide more comprehensive and customizable total marketing solutions for metalworking industry suppliers from one reliable and trusted source. Additionally, both parties will begin rigorous work to seamlessly integrate Techspex content into Gardner websites, including MMSOnline.com, the world’s largest metal working website, as well as ProductionMachining.com and MoldmakingTechnology.com.
