Hop on the bus, Gus.

If you’re a manufacturer in the Tar Heel State, the folks at the Industrial Extension Service of North Carolina State University would like you to be part of its “Manufacturing Makes It Real” tour. The state-wide bus tour includes a number of free, public rallies to celebrate and promote manufacturing across North Carolina, a state that’s home to about 10,000 manufacturers.

Beginning September 27, the tour will cross the state for ten rallies, culminating with a rally at the Capitol with Governor Bev Perdue on Friday, October 1.

Here are three ways that you and your company can participate:

Attend a free rally. There will be 10 rallies with at least one near you.

Donate your manufactured-in-North-Carolina item. Those who donate an item will be given the opportunity to briefly "show and tell" about their company and products at a rally. Donated products will also be collected ahead of time for display.

Sponsor the tour. You can make a tax-deductible cash contribution and get your logo on the side of the tour convoy.
