April 11, 2019, marks the second annual Reman Day, when remanufacturers around the globe will host students, teachers, community leaders, employees, elected officials, suppliers and the general public at open houses, plant tours and educational sessions to showcase the importance of remanufacturing. Reman Day is a collective effort by the Remanufacturing Industries Council (RIC) and the five remanufacturing sector associations AFRA, APRA, ARSA, I-ITC and PEARL, as well as the Reman World publication.
Remanufacturing saves, on average, 85% of energy, water, and material use compared to a newly manufactured product. It supports well over 180,000 full-time jobs and produces more than $45 billion of remanufactured goods each year in the United States.
