Understanding Smart Manufacturing to gain productivity and profitability in a global manufacturing market

October 25

Smart Manufacturing is a hot topic with today’s global manufacturing initiatives’. With CNC machines and tooling becoming more accessible to everyone it is becoming an increasingly competitive landscape. What should companies focus on to stay ahead of the competition? How do you capture your Manufacturing Intent? Where can companies gain more profitability when so many companies have similar machines and tooling? These questions are commonplace in manufacturing facilities today. Through this webinar, we will discuss options that are helping manufacturing companies take advantage of missed productivity and profit.

Primary Topics:
• Integrate design and manufacturing and promote concurrent product development
• Eliminate the need to import and export data between systems
• Create CNC tool paths directly in SOLIDWORKS with SOLIDWORKS CAM
• Automate creation of inspection documentation with SOLIDWORKS Inspection

Presenter: Michael Buchli
Michael has 20 years of design and manufacturing experience ranging from Aerospace to Recycling Systems. A number of those years were spent learning and understanding workflows and processes to improve efficiency and productivity. From running CNC equipment to welding and painting, Michael has been hands-on in all aspects of bringing products to market, which allows him to transfer his expertise to his customers. He is certified in many areas of manufacturing and a CSWP. June of 2018 he received the Outstanding Alumni Award from SCC Milford in manufacturing engineering and has authored the CAMWorks Handbook as a reference guide for programming engineers.
