The Aluminum Association presents the first-ever virtual Aluminum Design and Lightweighting Solutions Workshop. To address the industry-wide need for an aluminum-specific training curriculum for design engineers, this workshop brings together technical experts from leading aluminum producers, Arconic, Novelis, Rio Tinto, Hydro and Constellium. Jerome Fourmann, Eng., M.Sc., director, technical marketing and global customer support and product development, Rio Tinto will lead the discussion about aluminum foundry alloys, extrusion processes and related characteristics for vehicle design in the third of a 5-webinar series.

Jerome Fourmann serves as technical director of global customer support and product development for the aluminum metal group at Rio Tinto. For two decades, Jerome has applied his technical expertise to support and provide solutions in the field of aluminum products metallurgy tailored to the transportation, architectural and consumer durable markets for Rio Tinto (formally Alcan). He serves on various committees at ASTM, the Aluminum Extruders Council and is the Chairman of the Technical Committee on Product Standard at The Aluminum Association.
