In the interest of promoting hands-on technology training, ABB (Auburn Hills, Mich.) has delivered eight motor drives democases to the Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) in Pewaukee, Wis. The drives democases are from ABB’s ACS880 high-performance DTC product line and are said to enable complete application simulation. The donation is intended to enable the college to upgrade its Automation Technologies/Electronics Laboratory. Students will be able to program and test the drives to become familiar with the technology, and simulate use of controls for any given application.
