Andretti Autosport Announces Metrology Partnership With Applied Automation Technologies
The software developer will serve as the official metrology solution for the global racing enterprise.
Applied Automation Technologies (AAT3D) will serve as the official metrology solution for race team Andretti Autosport.
AAT3D began in 1987 as a CAD-based dimensional measurement software and developed into a global leader of software solutions for metrology, quality control and manufacturing systems. The company’s CappsNC software enables developing measurement programs offline to run on CNC machine tools. Conducting dimensional inspection on the CNC machine is said to create a closed-loop feedback system that improves accuracy and reduces both defects and inspection time. Such capability is expected to complement Andretti Autosport’s Siemens NX CAD software and DMG MORI machine tools to improve manufacturing efficiency and bring better parts to the racetrack.
