CAD/CAM Software Features 2D Drawing Function
Vero Software announces the release of the WorkNC CAD/CAM solution for machining complex geometries.
Vero Software has released WorkNC 2018 R2 CAD/CAM solution for machining complex geometries. This version comes with several updated features.
The 2D drawing function in WorkNC Designer improves communication with the shop floor, the company says, by extracting 2D sections and detail views from 3D models and documenting the part or assembly on a sheet.
The program’s Wall Machining Strategy constitutes a tool path for vertical walls in large dies. This feature, according to Vero, makes the tool path safer and offers a quicker method of calculation.
The program’s Pocket Machining with Waveform element constitutes a new pattern based on the consolidated 2D Pocket Machining, complementing the existing 3D Waveform roughing strategy. The company says that this speeds up calculation time by enabling the selection of curves instead of surfaces.
The user can now define an offset when selecting an STL model to be cut from stock. The company says that this ability leads to safer, more precise stock analysis in the case of changes in part size due to thermal treatment.
