Carmex Precision’s Slim MT inserts and toolholders feature multiple straight flutes that are designed for machining longer threads in small to large hole diameters.
The inserts are made of an advanced carbide and coating combination for extended too life. Most of the inserts are double-sided. Featuring what the company calls a unique clamping system, the toolholders are also nickel-coated for increased wear resistance. The longer inserts are said not only to make deep-hole threading easier, but also to deliver a better finish in a faster cycle time. The Slim MT holders and inserts are available in a variety of sizes and multiple international configurations.
