Esab Begins Restructuring of North American Operations
As part of integrating Esab and Victor’s regional operations and facilities, the plan will be carried out in phases through 2016.
Esab Welding & Cutting Products (Annapolis Junction, Maryland) will be restructuring its North American operations, integrating Esab and Victor regional operations and facilities. The restructuring plan will be implemented in phases throughout 2015 and 2016.
Esab’s Florence, South Carolina, operations will be consolidated into the company’s Denton, Texas, and Hermosillo, Mexico, facilities, while a limited commercial presence in Florence will be maintained and relocated to a new facility there in 2016. The Denton, Texas, facility will undergo a renovation and expansion to support the shift in operations. All employees at the company’s Roanoke, Texas, facility will transfer to the Denton facility. Plasma cutting design engineering and R&D functions will be transitioned to the company’s West Lebanon, New Hampshire, facility.
