EuroBlech 2018 Online Competition Rewards Digital Innovation

EuroBlech 2018 opens up its online competition for entries by sheet metal working companies that excel in digital and automated processes.

EuroBlech, the sheet metal working exhibition, invites outstanding companies in the sheet metal working industry to enter its online competition. Recognition will be given for best practice, innovation, excellence and outstanding performance in five categories. One winner for each category will be selected by professionals in the sheet metal working industry via online voting.

The third edition of the annual competition, themed “Step into the Digital Reality,” highlights businesses in digital and automated processes. The five categories correspond with current issues in the digital context of the sheet metal working industry.

  • The Digital Transformation category is open to businesses that apply smart manufacturing methods. 
  • The 25 EuroBlech Shows category will judge the funniest EuroBlech story submitted by either visitors or exhibitors.
  • The Cyber Security category highlights the importance of secure data exchange within a production environment.
  • The Best Startup category rewards new businesses with outstanding performance.
  • The E-Mobility category highlights pioneers in lightweight and component design for sheet metal working.

The five winning businesses will be formally presented with an award and certificate during a ceremony at the show, which takes place October 23-26, 2018, in Hanover, Germany. The winners will also be announced on the show website.

The closing date for entries is August 31, 2018. Entries will then we published on the show website and the sheet metal working community can go online and vote until voting closes on September 30.
