Ibarmia Nominates Ellison Technologies as U.S. Importer
Ellison will import five-axis multi-process machines in the Z series of moving column machining centers and the T series of universal machines.
Ibarmia has nominated Ellison Technologies as its exclusive U.S. importer. Ellison will import the Spanish manufacturer’s five-axis multi-process machining centers in the Z series and the universal machining centers in the T series. These machines suit manufacturers requiring advanced technology, productivity and maximum flexibility, according to Ibarmia.
The market coverage of Ellison Technologies, the technical capacity of Ibarmia and the companies’ dedication to customer service are said to have enabled them to create marketing and communication campaigns focused on digital technology, specialized training for technicians and salespeople, and reconfiguration of machines and spare parts to meet customer needs. 2018 will mark the first year of the companies’ partnership.
With so many choices in five-axis machining technology, how do you know which is best for your shop? First, consider the parts. Then, look at existing processes and potential five-axis benefits.
A provider of machine shop training offers these questions for benchmarking metalworking knowledge.
Finally there is an alternative to ballnose endmills for finishing 3D parts. The combination of finishing tools shaped to provide more cutting surface and a CAM system with the ability to apply them on a five-axis machining center can dramatically reduce finishing cycle times while delivering better surface finishes.
